Hedonutopia talks about Maymun Kral
Maymun Kral, The Monkey King, symbolically talks about the first-ever king in history, and how the power has been hierarchically misunderstood ever since. Basically, we try to leave the semantics to our listeners as much as possible because we believe everyone needs to experience their own feelings along the way.
The song appeared in our debut studio album, Ucube Dizayn (2016). We recorded it in our home studio. It was finalized after Metin Bozkurt’s (sound engineer who works with the famous Turkish rock band, Replikas) touches during the mixing phase.
Maymun Kral has become our most viewed song so far. It is special for us because it is one of the first songs that our listeners got to know the band through. The fact that we have never officially unveiled the lyrics of the song makes the song even more special for us because everybody at our concerts sings along making up their own lyrics to the song.
