Congratulations on the beautiful Sit on Your Hands. It’s such a great A2 track if you know what I mean. Will you tell us how it came together?
Thank you! It came pretty naturally a couple months into the beginning of Covid quarantine. Lyrically, having the realization that our auto-pilot was on and there was nothing we could do about this inevitable passing of time was an inspiration. We had the idea for the song in the vault and we ended up fleshing a lot of it out at a clothing factory that one of us works at (which I guess is fitting given the lyrics). Then we finished it off at our recording spot for the EP.
Our mini-interview series is based on songs we play on a loop and this track perfectly falls into that category. Speaking of time in the song, the song itself makes you sit on your own hands while you listen to it anyway. Why do you think it is so powerful?
Wow, we really appreciate that! Although we didn’t intend for it to come across that way, the feeling that we were conveying in this song is something we think that many people experience and is definitely a powerful emotion, so maybe that’s why.

I don’t necessarily like asking this question but what are some of your musical influences?
We’re inspired by everything from Lou Reed, U2, The Tragically Hip and Alabama Shakes all the way to The 1975, Bon Iver, Faye Webster and Men I Trust. We really just listen to whatever we feel and accept whatever comes to us.
We are from Canada and we do indeed hope you are having a great day : )

Are you currently working on a new album, yet? Also, will you be playing live anytime soon?
As of right now, we’re finishing off an EP but we have no plans to stop working to put out music at the rate we have been so far. As of live shows, as soon as it becomes safe and possible for us to do so, we will be on the road.
Before we finish… It’s really hard to get any info about CC on the internet other than you guys are from Canada and you hope that we are having a great day. Is that a choice to remain sort of anonymous, or would you like to introduce the band to us?
We are from Canada and we do indeed hope you are having a great day 🙂
